The # 1 Killer In America |
Heart Disease & Cirdulatory Disorders
Circulatory disorders, such as heart attack and stroke, are the most common causes of death in America accounting for half of all deaths. It is vitally important to understand that the circulatory system does not break down on its own. Long before degenerative disease attacks the heart and blood vessels, the liver and colon and digestive organs have been severely compromised. The blood is forced to bear the burden of irritants and toxins that are not being effectively eliminated. In order to prevent these deadly diseases we must look at the root cause when dealing with circulatory disorders.
Arteriosclerosis (Heart attack, stroke & memory loss etc.)
When arterial walls are damaged, cholesterol is used to make repairs. When the body is too stressed to finish these repairs, these blood vessels can collect calcium and other materials from the blood stream to form a plaque that coats the artery walls. This plaque not only impairs circulation throughout the body, it puts one at risk for heart attack and stroke. Blood clots can get stuck in narrowed arteries and can block blood supply to the heart or brain, causing death or disability.

One of the main causes for this type of damage to occur inside our arteries is from consuming a substance called, HYDROGENATED OIL OR TRANS FATS WHICH ARE MAN MADE FATS. The hydrogenation process was not created for the food industry. In 1912 a French scientist, Paul Sabatier won the Nobel Prize for succeeding in hydrogenating organic compounds. He wasnt looking for a way to prolong shelf life of food, but rather for a way to harden soap. Once oil has gone through the process of hydrogenation, it is no longer oil, but a plastic called celluloid. In the words of John H. Tobe, author of Hydrogenation Americas Deadliest Killer, hydrogenated fat is nothing but a sheer hard plastic. It is an inorganic chemical compound that will not breakdown at body temperatures. These fake fats are abrasive to the wall of the arteries and cause lesions. When this takes place the cholesterol will attach to the damaged areas to try to make repairs.
What can you do to protect yourself from this HUGE RISK? REMOVE ALL HYDROGENATED OIL & PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED OIL FROM YOUR DIET!!! READ LABELS. Stop putting in a substance that is assaulting your ARTERIES on a daily basis. You can learn more about this in my Natural Health Video or DVD.
LETS LOOK AT THE THREE MAJOR RISK FACTORS FOR HAVING A HEART ATTACK OR STROKE
1) ELEVATED HOMOCYSTEINE Homocysteine is an amino acid that, when found in high concentrations in the blood, is associated with a high risk of heart disease and stroke. Most people dont know that elevated homocysteine levels have been known to be even a greater risk in having a heart attack or a stroke than elevated cholesterol. Science based tests show that any level of homocysteine in your blood is not good. What causes homocysteine levels to elevate in your blood is either a lack of an enzyme to metabolize this amino acid, or a lack of B-vitamins. Research shows it is simple to lower elevated homocysteine levels. One study shows that folic acid, B-12 and B-6 reduced homocysteine levels by 50% over an eight-week period. By taking B-6, folic acid and B-12 you can safely and effectively lower homocysteine levels.
2) Science has revealed another major risk factor that indicates a high probability of having a heart attack. When C-REACTIVE PROTIENS are found in the blood this indicates that the arterial walls are inflamed which puts you at risk of having A HEART ATTACK. This is what happens. Plaque builds up inside the arterial wall. Somewhere else in the body there is an inflammatory process and this causes inflammation of the plaque. The plaque ruptures causing a clot. Something as simple as a common cold can set this process off. Paying attention to C-REACTIVE PROTEINS in your blood test results is as important if not more important than checking for elevated cholesterols in the blood. The good news is that we now know that supplementing our diet with Omega 3 fatty acids can reduce these harmful C-REATIVE PROTEINS. Studies have shown that countries that consumed large amounts of cold-water fish had a very low level of heart disease and arthritis. The latest clinical studies show that supplementing your diet with 3 grams of Omega 3 containing 3 grams of both EPA (eicosapentaenoi acid) and DHA (docoshexaenoic acid) daily can reduce triglyceride levels by as much as 25-30 %. And even more important is the strong correlation to the consumption of these fish oils to the lowering of C-REACTIVE PROTIENS. It is important when choosing a fish oil supplement that you look for one that is mercury free and one that contains the proper levels of these Omega 3 oils. Most supplements on the market do not have the proper amount. The latest studies show that we need 3 grams per day to really make a difference. Another factor that you need to be aware of is when you supplement with the Omega 3 you should not take Omega 6 oils. We already get a lot of these types of fats through our diet. When both Omega 3 and Omega 6 oils are available at the same time your body will absorb the Omega 6 instead of the much needed Omega 3. So make sure you are using Omega 3 oils without Omega 6. It should also contain some vitamin E to help keep it from oxidizing.
3) The third risk factor is elevated CHOLESTEROL LEVELS. What we need to understand is that elevated LDL cholesterol levels (which is the bad cholesterol that can oxidize so easily and cause damage to the arteries) traces back to the liver and digestive system problems. We do need to address this as a risk factor, but I want to suggest that you look at the natural approach to this problem before jumping on a statin drug to lower your cholesterol. Although drugs like Zocor, Mevacor, Pravachol and Lescol do lower cholesterol somewhat, they can easily cause liver toxicity, gastrointestinal problems, muscle inflammation and pain. The biggest side effect of these drugs is even more sinister. Statin drugs inhibit your bodys production of Coenzyme Q10, usually referred to as CoQ10, by up to 40%, and as you may know CoQ10 is the most essential substance for protecting your heart from disease and clogged arteries. Without enough CoQ10 your body is at risk to be much more susceptible to heart disease and cancer. CoQ10 is involved in the energy production of the cells themselves. In fact, when the statin drugs where brought out on the market the drug companies told physicians to put patients on CoQ10 if they were using this type of drugs! Few doctors ever recommend taking CoQ10. I truly believe these statin drugs can actually cause heart disease to set in and accelerate. I believe that people with the lowest levels of CoQ10 have the most severe heart disease.
LOWERING CHOLESTEROL NATURALLY Recent studies on a new natural supplement called POLICOSANOL are very exciting. Policosanol comes from rice bran. There have been 16 double blind studies that have shown POLICOSANOL can lower LDL cholesterol up to 29.2%. One of the studies showed this in as little as 8 weeks. POLICOSANOL beat out a popular statin drug, Fluvastatin, which was tested at the same time by a wide margin. This is a huge breakthrough to find a natural supplement with this type of benefit and none of the side effects of statin drugs.
Another natural supplement that can really help to lower cholesterol is Tocotrienols, which is a member of the vitamin E family. Tocotrienols work inside your liver to actually degrade an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase which is responsible for making cholesterol in your liver. By degrading this enzyme in your liver it will limit the amount of cholesterol that your liver can actually produce.
One more thing that can really help to lower cholesterol is to do regular colon & liver cleansing. Using a high fiber supplement can also be very helpful. Eating foods like oatmeal, which is high in fiber, and reducing the amount of animal fat and hydrogenated oil in your diet can be very helpful. I would like to encourage any one who is taking a statin drug to investigate your choices and take responsibility of your health. We have only one heart and one life. I would like to invite you to go to the Heath and Nutrition Store on this website and look at a new product line called Heart Health System. This program has many of these natural ingredients that can be used to help you obtain your cardiovascular health. Other supplements that can be very beneficial for supporting and repairing our circulatory system are both CoQ10 and OPCs, which are antioxidants that can actually strengthen the arterial walls and help the heart muscle. I hope you have enjoyed learning more about the choices you have concerning your health.
Healthfully Yours,
